Incoming Delegation Azerbaijan
Buyers from the food processing sector – 24 to 27 November 2025
Azerbaijan has over 4.8 million hectares of agricultural land and a wide variety of climates – ideal conditions for growing a wide range of agricultural products. Food consumption has risen by over 50 per cent in the last ten years. The food industry generates around 2 billion dollars a year and accounts for around a third of the processing industry. At the same time, the agricultural sector only accounts for around 5 per cent of GDP, despite employing a large proportion of the workforce.
This emphasises the untapped potential in productivity and innovation. Azerbaijan is therefore focusing on the modernisation of agriculture and food processing.
Companies from Baden-Württemberg can provide important impetus, for example through
- Technologies for filling, packaging, cooling and automation
- Software solutions for control, traceability and quality management
- Advice on organic certification and EU standards
- Training programmes for skilled workers
- Cooperation with local partners and research institutions
The participants are mainly companies from the food processing industry, including large producers of dried fruit, crisps, tinned fruit and vegetables, wine and alcoholic beverages, bakeries and dairies.
Participation in B2B meetings or company visits with the buyer delegation from Azerbaijan offers companies from Baden-Württemberg a direct opportunity to network with potential business partners and buyers from the region. This allows new sales markets to be opened up, valuable business relationships to be established and opportunities to be utilised in a targeted manner.
