This website is operated by IHK-Exportakademie GmbH. Here we inform you about the nature, scope, and purpose of processing personal data. Our website allows you to input the following personal data to get in touch with us:

- We use “B2Match” for selected events. Some events are organized with other partners to offer targeted business networking. For details on B2Match’s data processing, please refer to their privacy policy. If you register with “B2Match”, you consent to us transmitting the data you entered (company name, company profile, address, service offerings, phone, fax, email, link to homepage) to the respective event organizer for processing meeting requests and promoting similar offerings.
For the (joint) execution of seminars, delegation trips and/or trade fair participations, your data may be shared with:
- if applicable, the respective chamber of commerce or foreign chamber of commerce
- if applicable, domestic and foreign ministries
- if applicable, domestic and international cooperation partners

- if applicable, private companies to be visited or with whom meetings are scheduled

We process and store your personal data as long as necessary to fulfill contractual obligations. We process personal data only if you voluntarily provide it or if it is publicly accessible (e.g., public directories such as trade fair exhibitor lists or publicly accessible member directories of industry associations). These data usually include contact and address information, contract data, and data needed for organizing seminars (e.g., food intolerances), which you provide to us. Providing information on food intolerances helps us coordinate meals at partner restaurants. If storage is no longer necessary, the data will be regularly deleted unless legal or tax-related retention periods prevent this. The retention periods specified by law are a maximum of 10 years.
Your data is processed based on Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR. Data transfers to third countries without adequate data protection levels are based on your consent under Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR.
Marketing
If you have already participated in an event (seminar, delegation trip, etc.) organized by IHK-Exportakademie GmbH, we reserve the right to contact you about future events organized by us, based on a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR, unless you have explicitly objected. In our balancing of interests under Art. 13 (1)(d), we consider whether such events may be relevant to your professional role (e.g., as an export control officer).
Transfer of Personal Data to Third Countries
For trips to third countries, the transfer of your personal data to such countries is planned. An adequate level of data protection exists only if corresponding EU Commission decisions are in place. Otherwise, there may be an increased risk that you cannot exercise your data protection rights or defend against unauthorized disclosure and processing. Furthermore, German supervisory authorities may not be able to investigate or address complaints.
